Hi all..., glad to meet you again through my blog. Nowadays we all can hear a particular word popping again and again " Immunity". What if immunity is needed only during the time of infectious disease spread. I think immunity is needed in your everyday life to battle from the common cold to serious threatening disease. We all know Vitamin C is improves your immunity and it is available in citrus fruits like orange, guava, and grapes, etc. I m going to share some common foods other than fruits that are easily affordable and can be consumed without any difficulty.
Red Bell pepper
Red Bell pepper is bright colored and sweet fruity taste. Rich in carotenoid phytonutrients and vitamin C, they contain almost eleven times more beta-carotene. Bell peppers help in preventing different types of cancers such as stomach, colon, breast, prostate and lung cancer. It helps in preventing inflammation, reduced bloating, preventing hypertension, type-2 diabetes, high blood pressure.
Garlic
Garlic is low in calories and rich in vitamin C, vitamin B6, and manganese. It also contains trace amount of various other nutrients like Calcium, Copper, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, and vitamin B. Garlic reduces diabetes, hardening of the arteries, high level of cholesterol, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, healing of athlete's foot.
Spinach
Spinach can be consumed in the form of poriyal , curry, or soups. Do you know spinach is an excellent source of many vitamins and minerals? They are high in Carotenoids, Vitamin C to promote skin health and immune function. Vitamin Kand folic acid does well to pregnant ladies. It also excellent source of iron, helps to create hemoglobin which brings oxygen to your body tissues.
Yogurt
It is significant source of Potassium, Phosphorous, Riboflavin, Vitamin B-2, Zinc, and Vitamin B-5. Yogurt also contains Vitamin B-12 , which maintains red blood cells and helps to keep our immune system functioning properly. Always use home set Dahi (yogurt) to get the full benefits.
Food along with the exercises is needed to maintain good health and fitness. Yoga does major role in tunning both mind and body.
Pranayam
It allows for optimal breathing and movement of "Prana"( life force energy) throughout the body. Allowing yourself to relax and breathe deeply can help reduce stress hormones, heart rate, and nervous system distress.
Matsyasana
Arguably one of the most feel-good restorative variations, supported fish makes an already yummy pose feel even better and is also a great yoga pose for immunity.
Uttanasana (Forward fold)
Inversions bring a wealth of benefits to mind and body and inversion includes way more yoga poses than just a handstand! Forward fold is the perfect gentle inversions to boost immunity.
